TWO SOCIETIES

  1. That fact that they could not live where they wanted to because they were African American says a lot. White people really saw us as a big threat then and they see us as an even bigger threat now.

  2. I believe that there is just no justice for black people at all. I feel as if they just look at black people as the bottom of the earth. No matter what we do they will try to make us feel little.

  3. This video really shows are block people marched and protested for all we wanted was equality and respect but due to our skin being different it’s somehow a problem. This video also shows how times have not changed from then to now. We are still trying to have our voice heard and I hope we never give up on it until we are heard.

  4. This documentary exposes why many governers were itching to deploy the national guard. By deploying the national guard the insurance comopanies can void all of thier poicies and can reap considerable profits during that quarter. This is simply another example of the intersection of racsim and economics.

  5. The riots in Detroit are similar to those of today in Minnesota after the death of George Floyd. Our people were tired then and we are tired now. The thing is we need to continue to stay unified and go through with the plans/protests/marches that we have set out. We can not just drop last minute just because it’s dangerous. The color of our skin makes us dangerous to the white man so if we say we’re gonna do then we need to organize and get it together because as I previously stated, our people were tired then and we are tired now.

  6. Not only have black people marched, but they also did sit downs, peaceful protest, went to court, stood up for themselves, fought back, pleaded and cried, and still never got the justice they deserved. It’s 2020 and we still fighting the same fight. THERES NO JUSTICE FOR BLACK PEOPLE. No matter what we do. We just get watered down. And bs’d out of everything as if we are not humans. They treat animals better then they treat us. When will it ever end.

  7. It is very devastating to see that black people have voiced their opinions for so long and they still aren’t heard. In this video the society was slightly different but as time passed by the whites began to increase their negative actions towards blacks.

  8. African Americans have always struggled in America , white people cant accept the fact that they are humans and they want the same opportunities like the rest of the Americans . The discrimination got way out of hand and brother and sisters raised their voices to fight to get their voices heared to end this racism.

  9. So sad to know black people not only have they been tired of this institutionalized racism for so long, they have also always voiced it but it still exists…to the extend it has become normal. The pattern of things seen on this video appear to have changed in this society, but I think white people have improved so much that they still do the same things but in updated ways/versions…
